The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, has inaugurated the Amandeep BR Medicity Hospital at Tengpora-Bemina Bypass in Srinagar region today. The facility has been established in collaboration with Ujala Cygnus Healthcare and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced medical technology.

The all-new hospital comes with facilities including a 200 bed capacity, cutting-edge technology and a wide range of medical services. Notably, the hospital introduced Robotics Care, a first in the city, marking a milestone in the region's healthcare landscape.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sinha said, "I am delighted to inaugurate Amandeep BR Medicity, a hospital that embodies the spirit of excellence and compassion. I wish the team all the best in their mission to deliver world-class healthcare to the people of this region".

The Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, described the hospital as a state-of-the-art enterprise having advanced medical technological facilities. "It will surely add to the quality health care in Kashmir. I congratulate the management of Amandeep BR Medicity for this very significant initiative", Dr Andrabi said.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, unveiled the Kashmir Marathon 2025 merchandise at Royal Springs Golf Course in Srinagar region. The merchandise includes a cap, medal and racing kit.

The Chief Minister invited all fitness enthusiasts to test their endurance and join the 2nd edition of Kashmir Marathon 2025 on 2 November.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, graced the annual day function of Sainik School Manasbal in Ganderbal region today.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, addressed the valedictory session of the two-day National Education Policy (NEP) Conclave 2025 organised by the Higher Education Department (HED) at the Amar Singh College in Srinagar region.

“In our time, we had to choose between fixed streams—medical, non-medical, commerce or arts. Today’s students can design their degrees to suit their future aspirations”, Shri Abdullah said.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, chaired a metings to review arrangements for the upcoming Darbar Move to Jammu region.

Shri Abdullah emphasised on ensuring smooth, secure and well-coordinated shifting of offices from Srinagar region to Jammu region.

The chief minister further instructed the Estates Department to establish a dedicated control room for addressing accommodation and logistical issues, while the General Administration Department (GAD) shall set up the Winter Secretariat at Srinagar with minimal staff presence.

On the solemn occasion of Police Commemoration Day, Shri Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), paid rich tributes to the police martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The ceremony was held at Zewan in Srinagar region, where the Chief Minister honoured their bravery and unwavering dedication to the nation.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, inaugurated the National Conference on Patient Safety at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar region today.

The conference, organised by the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), was held under the theme: “Every Error a Lesson, Every Lesson a Safer Care.”

Addressing the gathering, Shri Abdullah highlighted the importance of integrating patient care and patient safety to strengthen healthcare delivery, and urged actionable outcomes to enhance safety standards across hospitals in J&K region.

“Through this conference, I hope actionable points emerge which the government can adopt in both major and smaller hospitals, ensuring that patient safety becomes as much a focus as patient care,” Shri Abdullah said.

The Minister of Health and Media Education, Ms Sakina Itoo, lauded SKIMS as a premier medical institution envisioned by Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah.

Ms Itoo said, “We must remain eternally grateful to Sher-i-Kashmir and his team for establishing SKIMS. The government under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to strengthening our health institutions by providing modern equipment and facilities so that people need not travel outside J&K for treatment.”

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the developmental scenario, ongoing projects and implementation of government schemes in Anantnag region.

Shri Abdullah took detailed stock of the progress under District CAPEX 2025–26, Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), and other flagship programmes.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said, “There is a big responsibility on us under SASCI. We must ensure full expenditure of the funds received by December to secure the next instalment. I urge the Deputy Commissioner to monitor progress weekly, address slippages promptly, and keep my office informed of any issues. I do not want a single SASCI project to suffer due to implementation delays.”

“As we have done in the past year, we will continue to take up and execute as many developmental works as possible in the coming year,” Shri Abdullah added, complimenting the district team for their efforts so far.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, chaired a comprehensive review meeting of Kulgam region to assess the progress of developmental works under the District CAPEX Budget 2025–26 and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

“We are working with the concerned departments to make sure that every district has an adequate number of 4x4 ambulances so that people do not face difficulties during heavy snowfall,” Shri Abdullah said.

On the occasion, Shri Abdullah e-inaugurated several key urban infrastructure projects in Kulgam, including the Solid Waste Management & Material Recovery Facility at Lirrow, the Municipal Shopping Complex, and a Modern Abattoir, aimed at strengthening commerce and civic amenities in the district.

The former Minister in the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, and President of the Dogra Sadar Sabha, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, passed away earlier this evening after a prolonged illness.

A distinguished public servant and respected leader, Shri Charak devoted his life to the service of the people and the preservation of Dogra heritage and values. His passing marks the end of an era of unwavering commitment to public welfare, education, and cultural preservation.

In addition his notable contributions to politics and social causes, Shri Charak was serving as the Chairman of the Dogra Educational Trust, under whose aegis function the Dogra Law College, Dogra Degree College, and Dogra College of Education.

The Dogra Sadar Sabha and the Dogra Educational Trust extend their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and join the public in paying tribute to a life devoted to selfless service, integrity, and community upliftment.

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has contributed Rs Eleven Lakhs Four Thousands Six Hundred towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund in Jammu province.

The delegation, led by the Vice-Chancellor SMVD University, Prof Pragati Kumar, called on the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, and presented the cheque of contribution.

The Chief Minister appreciated the noble gesture of the employees of the University.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, has handed over regularisation orders to 863 Contingent Paid Workers (CPWs) at a function organised by the Directorate of School Education in Jammu province.

The occasion also witnessed the formal inauguration of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra under Samagra Shiksha and the launch of a suite of new ICT and analytics platforms aimed at strengthening the education ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.



Addressing the gathering, Shri Abdullah expressed satisfaction over the fulfilment of a long-pending demand, commending the dedication and patience of CPWs awaiting regularisation. He called upon the newly regularised employees to dedicate themselves to public service, reiterating that “the future of the next generation depends on the quality of education we deliver today.”

The chief minister also felicitated CSR contributors for providing equipment to strengthen classroom infrastructure.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, chaired a review meeting of the Mining Department in Srinagar region.

The meeting focused on strengthening mining governance through technology-driven interventions like the Integrated Mining Surveillance System (IMSS) for real-time monitoring and accountability.

“In my previous tenure, illegal mining was never a concern. With the technological tools now available, any such activity is only possible if there’s collusion at the lower level. The department must use these systems effectively to eliminate that possibility. The more we reduce such collusion, the lesser the chances of illegal mining,” the Chief Minister said.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dheeraj Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Mining Department Anil Kumar, Director Geology & Mining, all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, and other senior officers of the department.


The four party candidates for Rajya Sabha, Choudary Mohammad Ramzaan, Sajjad Kichloo, Shammi Oberoi, and Imran Nabi Dar, called on the President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Dr Farooq Abdullah, at his residence in Srinagar region.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Shri Omar Abdullah, was also present on the occasion.


Provincial President Showkat Mir, Hon'ble MLA's Ahsan Pardesi, Sajjad Shaheen, Mushtaq Guroo, Political Advisor to VP Mudassir Shahmiri were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, held an interactive session with the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) in Srinagar region today.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister stated, “Confidence is one of the most vital elements for business, and regrettably, Jammu and Kashmir has been deprived of it for the past 30 to 35 years.”

“We are doing everything possible to ensure that this lack of confidence does not define our future”, he added.

Shri Abdullah reiterated Government’s commitment to remove infrastructural and economic bottlenecks to make Jammu & Kashmir an attractive destination for investment and manufacturing.

The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, chaired the 13th State Board for Wildlife meeting in Leh.

Addressing the meeting, Shri Gupta emphasised that Ladakh must serve as a model for achieving a fine balance between strengthening national security and safeguarding its invaluable biodiversity and high conservation value areas.

Shri Gupta also underlined the importance of adopting development strategies that both protect the nation’s strategic interests and preserve the Union Territory’s fragile ecosystem.

The meeting was attended by renowned wildlife expert Dr. M.K. Ranjitsinh Jhala; Chairman/CEC LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson; Chief Secretary, Dr. Pawan Kotwal; Executive Councillor, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; DGP Ladakh, Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal; APPCF Ladakh, S. The Secretary HUDD, Ladakh, Shri Sanjit Rodrigues, launched a Swachhata Campaign at Karzoo Pond (Zing) as part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, which will be observed from 17 September to 2 October 2025.

On the occasion, the Secretary administered the Swachhata Pledge and urged people to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and contribute actively to the campaign.

As part of the drive, MC safaikaramcharis cleaned Karzoo Pond (Zing) and its adjoining areas.

The program was attended by Director ULB, Moses Kunzang; Administrator MC Leh and ADDC Leh, Sonam Nurboo; Executive Officer MC Leh, Stanzin Rabgias; along with staff of the Urban Local Bodies Department Ladakh, Municipal Committee Leh, representatives of Leh Development Group (LeDeG), and students of Moravian Mission School, Leh.

Shri Sonam Nurboo, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Leh, chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming Ladakh Festival 2025, scheduled from 21 to 24 September.

Addressing the meeting, Shri Nurboo emphasised the collective role and responsibility of all committees to ensure the success and perfection of the festival. He also directed availability of adequate medical facilities during the festival.

The next review meeting is scheduled for 19 September.

The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, inaugurated the newly constructed Office, Residence, and Patwar Khana of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Kharu, Ladakh, today.

The complex, built at a cost of Rs 20.58 crores, is expected to significantly improve the revenue administration in the sub-division and provide better facilities for both officials and the public.

The lieutenant governor also inspected the Geothermal Heat Pump-based Space Heating System installed at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Thiksey.

The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, inaugurated two-day exhibition on the three new criminal laws, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), organised by Ladakh Police at the Arya Nagarjuna Auditorium Hall at Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS) in Choglamsar, Leh today.

Speaking on the occasion, the lieutenant governor said, India ushered in a historic reform of its criminal justice system on July 1, 2024, with the implementation of three new laws—the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). These laws replace the colonial-era legislation with a framework aimed at ensuring faster justice, empowering victims, strengthening the use of technology, and safeguarding citizens’ rights.

The event was attended by LAHDC Leh Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk; Chief Secretary Dr. Pawan Kotwal, DGP Ladakh Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, Executive Councillors and Councillors from LAHDC Leh; Principal Secretary, Sanjeev Khirwar; Principal District and Sessions Judge, Leh, Manoj Parihar; head of religious, political organisations, members of Civil Society Organisations, former MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal; Vice-Chancellor, UoL, Prof Saket Kushwaha; Vice-Chancellor, CIBS, Prof Rajesh Ranjan; officials from Ladakh Police, heads of departments, government officials and students from various schools were present during the occasion.
